Brayden's Fifth Birthday!

Saturday was Brayden's FIFTH birthday! Where did the time go?! I can hardly believe that he is 5 years old already! It sounds strange to me when I say that. Saturday we went with grandpa and grandma Davidson and uncle Bryce to Animal Kingdom. That is Brayden's favorite Disney park (mine too) and he has been talking about going there for his birthday for the past month. I was so glad that he picked animal kingdom instead of magic kingdom like Kaity because by two o'clock in the afternoon you have pretty much done everything. No hanging around ALL day waiting for fireworks wishing for a nice shady spot to take a much needed nap! We got soaked on the rapid falls water ride and then dried out nicely on the coaster Everest. We even convinced grandma to ride although, I don't think that she enjoyed it as much as the rest of us! We finished the day off with pizza, cake and presents! Happy Birthday Brayden!

Tribute to Travis

Okay so Travis knows that I am not a card giving person with my gifts. I figure the little blank tag on the bag the present comes in is good enough. Travis however, is a major card giver. He spends hours finding the right card and then takes more time to write on the inside. I have decided for our anniversary today I would spend time thinking of the top 25 things that I love about him and make it into his card. It goes as follows.....

I LOVE...

1. that you try to never say no to me
2. you make sure that my car always has gas in it
3. you make the phone calls that I don't like to make
4. you tell me the truth if I ask you "do I look fat?"
5 you will go to the store in the middle of the night if I have the munchies
6 you help Kaity with her math homework every night.
7. you are a very good dad
8. you always call me to tell me that youare on your way home
9. you ask me if I need anything on your way home-a diet coke for example :)
10. you love Disney as much as the kids and I do
11. you like to go to the craft store with me- oops! probably shouldn't have told that one!
12. you let me put up the Christmas tree way earlier than you think anyone should
13. you go to work everyday to support us and let me stay at home with the monsters
14. you know exactly which tampons to buy for me at the store
15. you learned to tolerate diet soda
16. you know that my favorite flowers are tulips- not roses
17. you only listen to my music when we are both in the car
18. you let me take a bite out of your taquito before you eat any of it
19. you don't mind that all the chocolates in the box have a bite taken out of them
20. you let me squeeze the toothpaste in the middle of the tube everyday and quietly fix it
when I am done
21. youare willing to cut your manhood for me
22. you drive the crappy car and let me drive the nice one
23. you open the shutters and bring me my phone before you leave for work very early in the
morning
24. you are willing to leave the hour long line at disney that we have already stood in for 45
minutes to take Brayden to the bathroom so that I won't miss out on the ride.
25. you tell me you love me fifty times a day!

Happy Anniversary Travis!

10 YEARS and COUNTING!

APRIL 17, 1998
OUR FIRST HALLOWEEN
THE GRAND CANYON
I can't believe that ten years have flown by! It seems like it was just yesterday that we were married in the Salt Lake temple looking forward to our future. Looking back I never would have imagined that I would end up as blessed as we are. We have lived and experienced many different places. We have watched the rain fall and fall some more in Seattle, built snowmen in the Glacier mountains, watched the cacti bloom in the desert and the sun rise and set over the ocean. We have two beautiful, healthy miracles that we didn't know we would be lucky enough to have, and we have the knowledge that we will be a family for eternity. We may not be rich and famous, but we have abundant wealth in all that really matters. I am looking forward once again to our future and the next ten years.

WARNING!! THE FOLLOWING IMAGES MAY BE UNSUITABLE FOR THOSE LIVING IN COLDER CLIMATES!!

I kept laughing at Travis wedged into Brayden's tire. I told him he looked like Shamoo. :)

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRAVEL!!!!

This is my new favorite outfit of Kaitlynn's that mom made for Easter.

Please know that this post is not a brag rag like Aleta's Christmas letter, but an entry for my own personal journal!! We are so fortunate to live in this beautiful state even if it means putting up with the occasional hurricane and high homeowners' insurance. :) We spent the past 8 days in Panama City Beach in the panhandle of Florida. We love Sarasota but I think that Panama Beach is our new favorite spot. I found us a condo right on the beach and let me tell ya, that is the ONLY way to vacation at the beach. I love riding the elevator to the ground floor and stepping out onto sand. No carrying armloads of crap from a parking spot across the street and a mile down the road, and when the inevitable whining of "I have to go potty" starts, you leave your towel on the chair already provided for you, ride the elevator back up, grab a diet coke while waiting on your child and ride back down to the beach. I have learned how to vacation! I was in paradise. I was able to finish reading two novels while Travis and the kids finally mastered the kite flying business. It only took them 7 days, 2 kites and the help of the beach attendant to reput the kite together correctly before they finally had liftoff. It was worth all the aggravation to see the look on Brayden's face when it finally took off. It was hard to pack up and come home but the real world awaits us tomorrow. If only I was a millionaire....
