This morning Travis and Grandpa took Kaitlynn fishing. They all had a great time even though they caught absolutely nothing! Kaitlynn even learned to bait her own hook. (gross!) The highlight of the day was watching the alligator sunning himself on the shore. At least the alligator wasn't in our yard this time!

You and I live in such different worlds. You never hear of alligator problems while fishing here in Idaho! However, i still think I like your world better--the heat, sun, ocean, flipflops all year long. You want to swap for a while?
I want to switch too!!! Please, Please, Pretty Please!!!!! I have HAD it with Winter!
OH MY GOSH!!! That is crazy! Do your kids get freaked out? They are probably used to it. Wow! I'm with Holly, I think I would like your world better too!
We're in our 4th year here in Florida and I've yet to see an alligator. I feel cheated! I did find a snake in the hall closet the first month we lived here. Does that count? No one else was home so I had to get it out with a shovel all by myself! Pretty brave don't you think?!
you are brave mom. I found a snake by the front door one afternoon so the kids and I got back in the car and went to the park until Travis was able to get home and get it!
Did you hear about the little Saunders boy who visited Utah last summer? His mom told him he could take his shoes off and wade in the stream during a hike. He got really serious and said "Mom, do Utahns believe in alligators?" That's a true Floridian for ya. It cracks me up everytime I think about it. It looks like they were fishing at Lake Lotus. Where did they go?
I had a snake slither between my legs last week when we weeded the garden!!!!! boy did I jump a mile and let out an ear piercing scream. I haven't been back out there.
I change my mind, I like my world better. I would rather freeze then deal with slithering creatures.
We are geting ready to landscape the backyard so I will go back there. I am making Travis put in a big deck so I can see if anything comes slithering along. I'll sit up there while I watch the kids play in the yard! ;)
