June 26, 2009 This morning we said goodbye to grandma and grandpa, our friends and Florida. What a sad morning this was. I felt as though my heart was being ripped out of my chest as we drove away and headed for Georgia. I know that this move was necessary for the good of our children, but it still feels like a knife in my heart. I LOVED living in Florida. I will treasure all my memories and hopefully when Travis and I hit retirement age we will be back. Goodbye beaches, Disney and warm weather.
I am a busy wife and mother of four. If I am lucky enough to have a few minutes to myself, I enjoy a good book in a bubble bath. More often than not, I am busy playing "mommy, housekeeper, cook, referee, nurse, and dedicated young women leader." For family time it is hard to catch us at home. We are either relaxing on the beach, trekking through bike trails, or playing tourists at the local amusement parks. We have easily adapted to the Floridian lifestyle. I LOVE wearing flipflops all year long!
